The Newfoundland Club
Recognising the achievements of Newfoundlands in Working Tests
Manager: Ronnie Chadwick
Section C was judged first, with four dogs entered and one pass. Section A followed, with six entries and five passes, and Section B had five entries, with one pass.
Everyone, both human and canine, seemed to be enjoying themselves, and we finished our day as usual, sitting around with hot or cold drinks, eating large quantities of cake, and discussing world affairs. Many thanks to our judges, Kev and Kay, and to the various group members and Jeff for stewarding.
Water Section A
Judges: Kevin Clarke & Kay Burridge
After an early start, we arrived at approximately 9:30am to find a full car park of entrants ready for the day's tests.
The weather was good, if a little too warm at times, but regular dips in the lake made it really pleasant.
Kay Burridge and I were the judges for all the entrants today, so you may see some of the same comments across the tests.
We had six entries, with only one failure. The dog who failed was extremely wound up and showed absolutely no interest in saving the casualty.
I would like to thank the New Forest Working Dogs for their hospitality, and the Newfoundland Club for inviting us. Many thanks also to all our stewards for making it a safe and enjoyable event.
5 passed out of 6 entries.

We had five entries, with only one pass. The dog who passed had only entered four tests in the past, one of them being B, and has yet to fail any. The others showed great promise, and we are sure that with a little more work, they will pass next time.
I would like to thank the New Forest Working Dogs for their hospitality, and the Newfoundland Club for inviting us. Many thanks also to all our stewards for making it a safe and enjoyable event.

We had four entries, with only one pass. The dog who passed had only entered two tests in the past, one A and one B. Now, with this C, it makes a beautiful clean run of achievements. Well done! The others showed great promise, and we are sure that with a little more work, they will pass next time.
