The Newfoundland Club

I would like to thank everyone for making the trip over to Wales, we brought the sunshine out just for the occasion! The weekend had a reasonable turnout with some good passes; unusually, there were more B tests than A tests.
It was lovely to see a mixture of young and more experienced dogs working alone side their owners, especially witnessing the more colourful attempts at a controlled swim.
A special thanks to the stewards and judges that travelled and may not have attended test with us before, without them the weekend wouldn't have gone so smoothly.
Again a big thanks to The Newfoundland Club for allowing us to host the event and giving us the opportunity to test what our brilliant dogs can do!

We had 10 dogs and he weather was kind not too hot for them.

8 Lovely passes, sadly two were let down by the safe swim.

Thank you to stewards, test manager for their efforts. Weather was kind. Four entries with one outstanding performance and pass.

One handler was disqualified for physically throwing their dog into the water after it had failed to jump. Handler had not been penalised in a previous for the same action. It should be noted that this is not permitted in a test.

Everyone had an enjoyable test and gained some experience for their next attempts.
