CHATEAUNEWF BLUE HEAVEN

Lovely shape and movement, excellent topline held on the move. Her head needs a little time to develop. Tail a little short. Had the pull in firmness here. Well built, excellent coat texture and a remarkable mover. Best Puppy in Show on a joint decision with my co-judge.

MAYOSS WHITER SHADE OF PALE TO MILLTHORPE

7 months Landseer which I loved and she scored in head over the winner, but giving 4 months away. However, I predict a great future for her as she grows up. Beautiful colours and markings. Well boned and with good substance. Just needs to grow on like this and her future is assured. One of the best heads of the day.

DARKPEAK COSMOPOLITAN

Well grown. Liked her substance and bone. Muzzle a little long and needs to finish in head. Well made � just a little sloppy in topline at the moment, but sound moving.

ZENTAUR GIVUS TAMORADAT

In excellent condition and firm and sound on the move. Well built throughout. Firm topline, good ribbing. Quality head, good eye shape. Excellent coat texture. Liked her balance and movement. In remarkable condition. Won Reserve Best Bitch.

SHALOWSEAS ON THE DOUBLE OF TALLISBAY

Beautiful headed bitch with wonderful eye and expression. Not as assured on the move as the winner or the same coat texture. Firm topline.

PARADESO FOXY LADY

A little low on the leg for balance. Has an excellent head and good eye colour. Not as firm in rear as the two above.

VODAHOND CARRIE-ANN

Very good moving bitch with an excellent head and eye. Ears rather large. Well made at both ends but now needs to fill out in rib and chest to give her the required substance. Nicely balanced and could finish well.

KODIAK FORTUNE KOOKIE

Beautiful brown bitch who is a lovely even colour throughout. Bitch of beautiful balance. Excellent bone and good ribbing. Quality head. Eye a little round and I hope it might darken a little. Very good mover. Looks the teenager at the moment but a lovely one and with maturity should go far. Best Brown in Show.

MERRYBEAR THE ONE AND ONLY

A little lower on the leg and longer in body for balance and this shows in her topline. Very good head proportions and eye. Not as good in front action as winner.

CHATEAUNEWF THE APPRENTICE

2 years black with beautiful head and eye. Excellent ribbing and movement. Not the biggest but good substance for her size and wonderful topline and tail carriage.

CHRISHELKATE BE DAZZLED

Lovely young bitch. I liked her size and substance. A little taller than the winner which I liked but at the moment needs time to fill out in body and finish in head. Lovely eye and expression. Rear action just a little narrow at the moment but as she fills out generally this should right itself. Lovely coat texture. In super condition and holds and excellent topline on the move. A lot of potential.

BRIDGESTONE CALLAWAY

Strong brown bitch of excellent substance and very good movement. Not in her best coat at the moment. Good bone and ribbing. I slightly preferred head and eye of winners.

TALLISBAY TALENT SHCM

What I might call an old fashioned type and a really honest bitch. 4 years old of lovely balance and movement and excellent substance. Great bone and feet. A little short in tail. Strong head and good eye. Scored in rib and body over 2. Not in her fullest coat but of good texture.

SHERIDEL PATIENCE

2 years old tall bitch of lovely balance and I preferred her head to the winner. Needs to fill out now in rib and body up and this just shows in her topline. Sound moving. Should finish a very good bitch.

CEWRIRDWR LLYN GWYNANT

3 years of excellent balance and topline. In very good coat. A little close at the rear and could be a little better in front. However her balance and topline put her here. Good head type.

CH SHERIDEL MONEYPENNY

A pleasure to go over her for construction, chest, angulation and ribbing. 5 years, excellent movement, good bone. Held her topline well. Good balance for leg and body depth. I felt that she was too heavy in the body on the day and this held her back for the final awards.

ABBEYDORE SEA FOSCHIA HEFO CEWRIRDWR

7 years, lovely shape and balance and carried herself well. A little narrow in chest and rear. Quality all through with excellent topline. Like this owner�s other exhibit, in beautiful condition.

SHERIDEL NEONA

Tall bitch who needs more spring of rib for her age. Excellent head type and very good outline. Ill at ease on the floor.

HANNINGFIELD BLUE MOON AT PARADESO

Beautiful balance, movement and coat texture and tail carriage. Good head proportions but her eye just detracts a little. However, for balance and type she is lovely. Well built and well ribbed. Accurate movement with good stride and firm topline at all times. Best Bitch and on the referee's decision, Best in Show.

SWANPOOL ISLAND GIRL

Lovely proportions and substance. Just a little longer than winner and this showed in her topline. However, I liked her quality and type, and a wonderful coat texture.

ACARA MISS BRASSIBEAR OF SHINGLEBAY

Present in Post Graduate, a very correct bitch which I liked a lot. Has a beautiful head and eye and good bone and rib. Her movement and tail carriage could be better but not helped by the floor today. She has a lot to like.

Bitches:

It was a pleasure to be invited to judge bitches at this Club Open Show. An interesting entry to sort out as type was quite mixed. However, when I had my unbeaten bitch line up before me I was pleased with them for breed balance and movement, two very important things in my judging, although a couple were too immature to go further on the day and one a little too heavy. It was a pity that the slippy floor did not help the dogs and I hope matting will be available at future shows, as I am told is the usual case.

A pleasure to judge with specialist Mrs. Lyall from Scotland and although we agreed very amicably to disagree for the top award we saw dogs very much in the same way.

Best in Show was the bitch Hanningfield Blue Moon at Paradeso, Reserve Best in Show the dog Mayoss You Two, Best Puppy in Show the bitch Chateaunewf Blue Heaven, Best Veteran in Show the dog Stelamah Fire Onyx at Bridgestone.

Many thanks to my stewards and the committee for a very enjoyable day with this lovely breed. I quite appreciate how they inspire your devotion.
